TRAQUAIR MEDIEVAL FAYRE - PEEBLESSHIRE.

TRAQUAIR MEDIEVAL FAYRE - PEEBLESSHIRE.

Dating back to 1107, Traquair was originally a hunting lodge for the kings and queens of Scotland. Later a refuge for Catholic priests in times of terror the Stuarts of Traquair supported Mary Queen of Scots and the Jacobite cause. This house is amazingly over 900 years old and steeped in Scottish history and well worth a visit.
This weekend the 23rd - 24th of May 2009 in the year of Homecoming Scotland you can travel back to an age of chivalry, pageantry and romance at the Traquair Medieval Fayre.
