Homecoming Scotland 2014 WICK nr CAITHNESS local information snippets
Busy and lively fishing area which has fantastic cliff scenery, it's well worth remembering that Wick is one of these northern towns which has almost no summer nights, and on chosen nights they have golf, tennis, bowls which stretch accross the midnight hour where the Sun is no sooner down than it's back up again almost immediately.
You can cross to Orkney and Shetland from Wick or if you prefer you can travel about six (6) miles north and visit the ruin of an old castle.
Wick is approx. 14 miles from John o' Groats and well worth a visit for the beautiful scenery alone.
