Please note these are only the well known art galleries and museums, there are many smaller museums throughout Scotland in different towns and cities, touching on most subjects. An excellent example is housed in Alford (pronounced; AH-FORD), Aberdeenshire who get thousands of visitors each year to their "Alford Transport Museum". Ancient vehicles such as Penny Farthing bikes, buses, cars, motorcycles with some dating back to the originals and imported from other countries, there is even an ex-James Bond movie vehicle. Great family day out!
Wherever you visit in Scotland there is always something to entertain you or your family, from art galleries to museums.
