WILLIAM MURDOCH SCOTTISH INVENTOR.

WILLIAM MURDOCH SCOTTISH INVENTOR who was born in Auchinleck, Ayrshire Scotland. Auchinleck in the heart of what used to be the mining region of Ayrshire which at one time had both coal mines and coal pits.
William Murdoch was the inventor of the gas light and his gasometer gave light where it never was before and candles started to take a back seat.
Steam engines were part of William Murdoch's life and he also invented the pneumatic tube and the steam gun, and his prototype steam locomotive may well have been the first ever type of self propelled vehicles.
William Murdoch yet another scots born inventor who changed the world.
